It was relatively cheap for Vancouver, price-wise. The garage was secured, a little shady. The hallways seemed to be similar to the ones from the Shining. Echoing what others have mentioned, this hotel is run-down, as you'd note from half the letters on the roof-level sign being burnt-out. Found this hotel via the CAA travel book. Our room was in really bad shape. Part the floorboards were falling off. The electrical outlet in the bathroom was falling off and looked unsafe. The bed was at least 20+ years old. The building is really run down. Contrary to the CAA add the rooms have not been renovated since 1970... more

Upon arrival at front desk, I waited for at least 20 minutes for the attendant to check in the people in front of me. The phones for customer use at the front desk did not work.
