This was a nice little hotel on Grandville Island. Convenient for shopping on the island. Be srue to plan time to spend there. The market there is nice, cute shops, and good resturants. Central enough that driving to downtown, other touristy areas or the airport wasn't too far. The hotel itself is a bit hard to find on the island.... more

We asked for one night, but after having a fantasticevening and night in a splendid room we wanted to extend our stay with one extra night. This caused a lot of problems.. We had to leave the room, but they would probably find another room for us. This took ages, we had to return to the hotel a few times... more

We last stayed here 4 years ago and really loved the location. It's near enough to the city yet has a different feel - probably because the Island is a working place, not just a tourist trap. The market itself is so interesting and the food is wonderful. It's also great to see the students at the Emily Carr Institute.... more

Perhaps people in Canada just go to bed very early, I don't know, but you would think a hotel that caters almost exclusively for holiday makers would have come across people who liked to have a drink after a day's sightseeing. I was part of a group of fifteen, all staying a minimum of five nights in this hotel -... more

This hotel couldn't be in a better location. Granville Island is a wonderful attraction for visitors and locals. In addition to the large market, there is also a kids market, shops, water taxis, theatre, art school and other attractions for people of all ages. It's also a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. The hotel on... more

We stayed here for 5 nights. It is a $25 cab ride from the airport which isn't too bad really. The hotel itself is nice, it has an average size lobby, and the staff are really helpful. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the food sounded nice (although a little pricey!). We did have a few drinks there though... more

We booked this hotel primarily because of its location, value, and it is close to downtown. The biggest obivious attraction of this hotel is its location - smack dab in the middle of Granville Island, and therefore close to the restaurants, markets, shops, and galleries that are all nearby. Like, I mean, within a couple of city blocks. And on... more

After two nights in Whistler, my husband and I checked into the Granville Island Hotel and couldn't have been more thrilled with the room. That said, we DID splurge and got the executive suite for approx. $265/night. However, the room was clean, very large, and the marina view with sparkling water & skyline at night was perfect. The Granville is... more

The Granville Island Hotel is a great little place to stay if you don't want the big city experience, and you like walking out your door to the marketplace, coffee shops, galleries and outdoor spaces that surround you on this interesting island. We often visit Vancouver to see family, and decided to stay someplace different. We love going to Granville... more
