I stayed in a private room with my boyfriend. It was mostly clean, with the exception of the floors which hadn't been vacuumed for a couple days. My biggest complaint was the value. I have slept in this hostel one night have now am suffering from 1000s of bedbug bites. I am reporting this hostel to the board of health in Vancouver and British Columbia and to the HQ of HI. DON'T stay here. They NEVER wash the bottom fitted sheet and DO NOT ever wash the comforters. Don't say you weren't warned.... more

I've road tripped across Canada & in the US several times, including trying to find places to stay with a big dog. So I've seen questionable lodging. However, I've never experienced the kind of stomach-turning filth & discomfort as at Jericho Beach Hostel in Vancouver.
