Forget anonymous downtown hotels and busy traffic- stay here instead! Casa Matea is wonderful- 2 individually decorated rooms, a cosy shared sittingroom with books and games, and seats out in the garden... all situated in a quiet area, but with good bus links to the city centre. It's also easy to get to the shopping area of Kitsilano itself. Matea... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Casa Matea, which is situated in a very quiet area in Kitsilano, near UBC and Vancouver downtown. Matea is a very friendly, young but capable hostess, and a good and very creative cook. Her breakfasts are ample, delicious and very filling. Every day she comes up with different breakfasts, and she... More

From the moment we saw the photos on the website, we knew Casa Matea was a special place and it exceeded our expectations. Staying at Matea's is like staying with your grandmothers and your hip, young friend's at the same time.Matea's homemade breakfasts are incredible. Not only are they simply delicious and nutritious, they are so filling you will not... More

Staying with Matea was the perfect ending for our holidays. After camping for three weeks, we loved every second in the house. Matea herself is, a said before, truly wonderful. Her pancakes with applecompote were just delicious, her company great. It is out of center, which we liked very much as it was a nice and quiet, and a very... More

Matea is a wonderful host who goes out of her way to ensure you have a great stay. We started our days at the B&B with some of the most creative and delicious breakfasts we've had in years. Yes they're all vegetarian, but even the biggest carnivore will fall for the fresh local ingredients that she uses. We could count... More

It 'been a great pleasure to know Ms. Matea by Casa Matea. A person so helpful and very good cook is not easy to find. I consider myself fortunate in having met and spent 4 days in a really nice home. The house is typical Canadian, a little 'old, but for what has charm all its own. I stayed in... More

We really enjoyed Casa Matea. Matea was a delightful host - her attention to detail in everything from the room set up (kettle, teas, chocolates, biscotti), the lovely breakfasts (and beautiful sun room) - everything was well thought through and allowed for a sense of peace, rest and beauty. It is within reach of many amenities, the food was amazing... More

I stayed here for ten days and totally recommend it. The whole house is made very lovely, I was warmly welcomed, the breakfast is just amazing, the beds are comfortable and Matea is the best host she could be. Furthermore you are allowed to borrow the bikes, what I would definitely do. This is the most interesting way to discover... More
