I was in Vancouver for a business trip and the Sandman was suggested by my client. My wife and I checked in, were told 10 times not to leave anything in our car. There were no bellmen to help with luggage. The room was small, dark, every piece of furniture was damaged. The carpets had not been washed...perhaps ever. To... more

Just a short review of our stay at the Sandman City Center in downtown Vancouver. The staff was nice, the hotel was clean, but the beds were terrible. The sheets were so scratchy that I awoke in the morning with what appeared to be rug burn on my elbows? They were bright red, and so sensitive that my shirt rubbing... more

I went to Vancouver for a Canucks game and U2 concert. My boyfriend and I went out for a bit to see to city, upon return of to our room we find our hotel room door broken in half and all of our personal belongings thrown about. Two maintenance men were waiting for us in the hall and guarding what... more

Reading through the July and August reviews it almost seems that people are talking about a different hotel. Me and my husband stayed there at the start of September and found the hotel to be very pleasent. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were pleasent. The views weren't great, but hey your... more

We stayed at the Sandman twice within two weeks, once for two nights and once for five. The first room was quite small, but I found it adequate and appreciated the fact that there were plenty of electric points. The second room was larger with a better view - I agree with another reviewer, request a room facing the stadium.OK... more

Dear Valued Guest, On behalf of the staff and management, please accept my sincere apology for your disappointment. In regards to the poor TV reception, since installing the various new flat screen sets, we have had some challenges in this aspect, however working through a solution to ensure this is not repeated. In terms of the wireless and plug in...

Stayed here for 5 nights in two diiferent rooms. Its not that great im afraid. The hotel feels tied/dated/worn. The air-con works but makes so much noise its unusable at night - its looks like its from a museum! The lifts are bad, you wait ages for them - we resorted to the stairs from the several floors up. The... more

We stayed there for 12 nights, without realizing we were being eaten alive by bed bugs… until one day we woke up covered in huge pink dots. At first we believed we were allergic to some mosquito bites. However, knowing that I am not allergic to pretty much anything, we checked with a doctor who confirmed to us these were... more
