I had 2 big windows in my room and they were covered in an adhesive window treatment so the view was 100% unavailable. The three inches I could open the window showed me that there was a great city view. How unusual. It made the room feel dark and there may as well have been a brick wall behind the...

I love the traditional ambiance of the Hotel Vancouver and I especially enjoy the extra perks on the gold floor. The premium is great value for an exceptional breakfast, conceirge service and attention to detail. While my work no longer requires me to be in Vancover, the staff still manage to remember me when I show up for a weekend...

Just returned from a two night stay on the Fairmont Gold floor in Vancouver and i am just amazed at the great service I get when staying at Fairmonts. The Gold floor is a really nice touch, they seem to get it right every time. This was our first stay at this location, it is right in the middle of...

He made us feel very welcome and comfortable....

I visit Vancouver a couple of times each year on business, and have stayed at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver before. Knowing what I was in for, I had no hesitation booking a junior suite for my most recent trip, which required me to stay downtown for three days.
Sometimes things change with time, and there have been occasions when I...

If you like old style elegance and don't mind that it's a bit old, this is a great place. The public areas of the hotel, particularly the bar, are grand. My corner room had loads of natural light and decent views. The ensuite bathroom was rather small, and there was a persistent ticking noise (emanating from plumbing?).
One major annoyance...
