We wrapped up a week in the islands off the BC coast with a stay at the Corkscrew. The website was extremely accurate about the charms of the refurbished 1912 house. The owners were away but innkeeper Karen was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious with portion sizes that did not overwhelm or overfeed. The neighborhood is residential and a short... more

On our first stay at the Corkscrew Inn because of ferry schedule we arrived way before check-in but Karen welcomed us to make ourselves comfortable in the parlor while she finished cleaning our room. We decided to walk in the lovely high end residential neighborhood and returned in an hour to a spotlessly clean and lovely second floor room. Great... more

The Corkscrew Inn B & B is very convenient for exploring Vancouver. It is situated in a select suburb just a 15 minute bus ride into the centre, or you could walk. There is room to park your car outside and you feel very safe. The building was totally renovated (to a very high standard) in 2002, and it shows!... more

It was the first time my husband and I visited Canada and we stayed three nights in the Corkscrew Inn. The service was excellent and the Staff only too ready to steer you in the right direction to the local sights with a map provided. They will also provide you with the use of a laptop and free local telephone... more

I found this B&B whilst searching the web and could tell straight away that it would suit me down to the ground. The whole experience was a pleasure from beginning to end. I stayed in the Edwardian Room which was lovely and had a very comfy bed. The stained glass windows in my bedroom were beautiful and I had a... more

We had an excellent stay at the Corkscrew Inn at the beginning of August when we spent three nights in Vancouver before heading to the far north and the Rockies for 3 weeks. We were due to fly back to France on the 28th of August but our Zoom airlines flight was cancelled and the earliest affordable departure was the... more

We have just returned from our first trip to canada and stayed in the Corkscrew Inn for 5 nights at the beginning of our trip before travelling in BC. From the directions we were given from the airport, to the room and breakfasts, everything was perfect! By the time we left we felt we had known Karen for ever, she... more

This was our first trip to Vancouver and it won't be the last. But however many more times we're fortunate enough to visit this beautiful city we'll surely stay at the Corkscrew B&B. Wayne and Karen are fantastic hosts -- attentive to our every need but not at all intrusive. The inn and the room were exquisitely furnished, breakfasts were... more

This B & B is superb not only for the building but also the welcome and hospitality of Karen. From the moment we arrived she made us feel as if nothing was too much trouble and booked taxis for us for our meals out. The property has been extremly well renovated to a very high standard and our room was... more

I would recommend this as a lovely place to stay. It has the advantage of being located in a quiet area but close enough to Vancouver that accessibility is not a problem. The entire house has been tastefully refurbished and is run very competently at the moment by a delightful manager called Karen for whom nothing is too much bother.... more
