This Hostel is cheap. Its in an excellent location. The internet connection was not very good, often non existent. I had the misfortune of booking into the Grand Trunk Hostel using Hostel Bookers website, Whilst the hostel is in a great location in Gastown, it is filthy dirty and the quality of the rooms disgraceful. My experience was that the manager was actually quite helpful. But the building is really old, the room I stayed at was patched left and right. very old bedding/sheet.
