I couldn't agree more with the other posts. The owners of this place are running a sham. This is not a bed and breakfast. It is an attempt to make money off of hapless travellers who think they are going to a nice place.

They HAVE a dog -- as opposed to what their web site states. This dog is a yappy, yappy, terrible mutt. Even their neighbours we're yelling out of their windows at the dog. It was unbelievable. Our neighbours back home have a dog but they keep it restrained and make sure it doesn't bark like that!!

The rooms were nothing to write home about either. Small and damp smelling.

Oh, and beware the 'breakfast'. It was beyond bad.

Terrible hosts, terrible stay. We ended up staying at another bed and breakfast which was much more tolerable.

The Captain's room is advertised as having a private bathroom. Private it may well be, but ensuite it definitely is not!! You have to negotiate a hallway used by other B&B residents to get to the bathroom! This is made even harder by the fact that no robes are provided in the guestroom, so you have to get dressed if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Furthermore, no toiletries are provided in the guestroom, so if you need kleenex, a towel or anything from the bathroom - get dressed (or wander the halls naked).

The breakfast was ho hum, service poor, and check in/welcome nonexistent as we arrived 7 minutes after we told the owners that we would check in. This meant 4 hours of lunch, windowshopping, and finding an alternate parking spot in Kits on a very busy weekend, before we could check in (finally) at 4pm - after being greeted with "You were late!"

Lovely start to a romantic weekend. Stay away from this - in low season, its not... more
