We booked a room for two nights at the Cheltenham Court Motel, thinking it looked pretty good outside, nice plants, lawn kept up etc., a short family vacation with two boys and two adults. in Victoria. We were charged for the room before we received our key to check in. Once inside my son [who has a disability] started complaining about the smell, yes it did, cat urine, and I and my partner noticed hair all over the furniture and rugs. The smell of damp, cat urine and mould was all over the unit. Then my son spotted garbage of some sort under the bed, I told him to just leave it as we were not sure what it was [health reasons]. We told the manager that we did not want the room as my son was very upset by the smell and we found somewhere else to go. He returned only one nights charge, and would not return the current nights stay as he said he had held the room for us and could not rent it again.
