we had a great view from our balcony of the Empress, the inner harbor, sea plane and ferry activity, and the duck pond. the concierge was very helpful. sent us by miniferry to a nice patio dinner at the Spinnaker brew pub, museum, bug zoo, etc... more

We spent 2 days at the Grand Pacific and took advantage of their online discount (20%). Staff were great, from reception, bellman to housekeeping. restaurants were reasonably priced, location is excellent! Rooms were comfortable, bathrooms a bit small, robes were great (we bought 2) Overall a great hotel that we would return to! more

Though kind of pricey, hotel is beautiful with very friendly staff. if you go make sure to meet joe the groundskeeper, and his ducks! Children will love this (I did and I don't have kids!). Location right near harbour, did not need a car to get around downtown. Pool is nice, pub next door is great and affordable. Very quiet! more

This hotel was nothing special. We paid $400 for two nights, no view room with 2 double beds. If you plan on spending ALOT of time in your room then by all means it's probably cleaner than most 3* hotels but if you're just going to come in to get some sleep...then go someplace cheaper and spend the saved money... more

Located right on the harbor next to the Parliment building. Excellent view. Rooms well appointed and clean. Very nicely furnished. Restaurant is top notch with very good food. Within walking distance of Empress, BC Museum, downtown shopping, Chinatown and the bus depot for the ride to Butchart Gardens. more
