I have stayed here several times between moves. This hotel is an old Holiday Inn turned Best Western turned something else (the waste baskets are a testament to the different chains that have come through here). The decor is old and the kitsch factor is high, but it is clean and the staff are quite helpful. During the summer there are mostly tourists staying there and rates hover around $50 per night, which is quite reasonable during tourist season. In the off season they have reasonable monthly rates for locals. It is on a road that has eating establishments, busses to downtown (about a 12 minute ride) and is within walking distance of the Gorge waterway. A good spot for practical tourists on a budget who are not concerned with style or class and just want a decent place to stay.
