I went with my husband and two of my students. The Abbeymoore was a perfect base to adventure from or to stay in and enjoy the quiet. The girls thoroughly enjoyed waking up late for breakfast, and my husband and I enjoyed birdwatching before breakfast! Breakfast was not to be missed! I wish I could wake up like that every morning. i have stayed at Abbeymoore an number of times.I have always been impressed by the elegant surroundings. The breakfasts are sumptuous and my favorite place to relax is the parlour, where in cooler months, a fire is either burning, or ready to light. Ian, Anne and Michelle have provided for the travelling guest a lovely home away from home. Abbeymoore Manor is filled with character, elegance and comfort. We stayed at Abbeymoore Manor for two nights just prior to Thanksgiving weekend. Ian and Anne were very welcoming and were happy to accomodate our late night arrival. Our stay at Abbey Moore was wonderful!! Not only were the grounds beautiful and welcoming so were our hosts, Ian and Ann. The small touch of the welcome orientation made our stay, this included giving us some tips of the bottomless tea pot and food service at the Empress hotel. This was our first stop on our honeymoon. Ian and Anne were very welcoming and great tour guides. We came to town without any plans, and they gave us a list of things to do and a fabulous list of restaurants. It's a wonderful place to stay, and breakfast is out of this world. more

Abbeymoore was adequate, but it really wasn't as fantastic as I thought it would be given the outstanding reviews. We stayed in one of the ground level suites because we wanted a kitchen for our long stay (>1wk) but the suite was not very well equipped.
