My daughter was married at the Edgewater and we can't say enough good things about the facility and the staff. This is the perfect spot for a small wedding. They were able to accomodate both families and were available for every request. The food at the reception was exceptional and the Belgian Chocolate wedding cake was one of the best... more

Our group booked ten of the twelve rooms at the lodge in late June, and we were not disappointed with our stay. Even though the weather was rainy and overcast, the views of Whistler and Blackcomb were stunning. It was comfortable and rewarding to simply sit in the window seat and read a book and feel close to nature. Karina,... more

Stayed 2 nights at the Edgewater as part of a wedding. The views are stunning from the rooms and the main dining area. The wedding on the lawn at the edge of the lake was breathtaking. However, the rooms are very tired and lacking air conditioning. The main items that I would replace are the beds (quite firm), bedding (showing... more

We decided to stay one night in the Lodge, because of amazing location on the lake shore and very quiet surrounding. But it is end of advantages of this place. The rooms remember the better time in the past and look like accommodation in the forest camp.. Especially the bathrooms need the refurbishment. The breakfast is simple and not attractively... more

In January I reserved 2 rooms for a weekend in September and paid a deposit. At the end of March they told me that my reservation was cancelled as they now had a booking for the whole hotel for a wedding. So be aware if you reserve a room at this hotel and they then get a wedding booking your... more

This review is very near and dear to my heart as this is the one and only time I’ve had to do this and, as I have said to you at the time, I extend my sincerest apologies. We make every attempt to ensure this does not happen and in my three years here, I have never had to do...

over the years my wife and I have stayed at many places on Blackcomb or in the Village. While handy, typically most are crowded, active and noisy and you have to cram into the hot tub. The village restaurants are typical of any resort - good but not great value. The Edgewater Lodge is everything those resorts are not. It... more

We needed to spend the night in Whistler while completing a project. We travel with our dog and I had researched dog-friendly accomodations in Whistler the night before. The Edgewater was my choice, based on its secluded location and laid-back ambiance. We've spent a lot of time working in Whistler and were not looking for a party scene. The staff... more

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and we were very much looking forward to it after reading such rave reviews in Lonely Planet. The hotel is in a fantastic location, there are only 12 rooms and each has a massive window overlooking the surrounding lake and mountains. The restaurant too also has patio doors opening out so that... more

My husband and I stayed at the Edgewater for three nights in July of this year. The whole place was so peaceful. The resident two dogs roam the property and let you give them belly rubs. The horses graze peacefully in the fields. The view from the room was incredible -- mountains and a lake. The bed was comfortable and... more

Amazing hotel in beautiful setting. Great chef and food. Fantastic place to sit on the veranda and watch the boat planes take off and land on the lake in front of you more
