Check in was quick and efficient. Very friendly staff. Hostel provides linens and even towels if you need them. No sleeping bags allowed and I didn't encounter any bed bugs so apparently that problem has been solved. My wife and I stayed at the Hostel for 2 nights. We were both very impressed with the scenery and close proximity to the Alta Lake and jaw dropping views of the mountains. The location of this hostel is just FANTASTIC! It's directly on the lakeshore of beautiful Alta lake, with a fabulous view of the mountains! If you want to relax a couple of days, lying in the sun and swimming in the lake, that's the place to be! more

I quite enjoyed my stay until I realised I was being EATEN ALIVE by bed bugs! These were bugs of the nastiest disposition - I had about 30-40 bites, which took about a week and a half to fade (and required the aid of anti-histamines). REALLY ruined my experience. I have never seen a more beautiful location for a hostel, it blew me away. If you want to party 'till dawn and don't have a car then this may not be for you, but if an open fire, clean rooms and stunning scenery excite you this is unmissable. The staff even cooked dinner for us on Christmas day! more

Don't go there. It's awful. It's this cabin on the lake with canoes and a sauna and a bonfire and huge picture windows overlooking the lake in the diningroom and livingroom. Oh, and there's a fireplace and an ax to chop firewood and a piano. Please stay away. It is really hard to get reservations at this hostel. more
