When I was booking this motel, I asked for a room with a kitchenette, and was offered one for mere $55+tax. When we arrived, it turned out that the cabin assigned to us had only a fridge. We said that we needed to be able to cook, and were given a big room with full kitchen for $65+tax. The room was dirty (a dirty toilet was most annoying) and smelly. It was late at night, so we couldn't wander the streets of Saint John in the dark, and stayed there for one night. We had to aerate the room in order for the smell to go away, however the kitchen cabinets and all the dishes still smelled like moist wood.

We stayed the following two nights at Island View Motel, just further down the street (west), and it was much better at the same $65+tax per night.
