My wife and I stayed here for two nights and we were really disappointed. Room prices were quite high compared to the surrounding Hotels/Inns, and as a result we were expecting much more than we received. To start, the room was comfortable with a view of the harbor. From here it's all down hill. All was great until we woke... more

My husband and I, health professionals in our late twenties, stayed here July 22-23, 2008. We had a wonderful time. We had room 202, which has a gorgeous view of the water and a large two person air tub right next to the window for relaxing in. The room was simple but spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed reading on our... more

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Inn on the Cove. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable. The view is of the cove and had an island with a lighthouse in the distance. One of the reviewers said there was a refinery across the water. Yes there was but it looked like small white discs. The owners... more

My son and I stayed at the Inn On The Cove for two nights recently. It is comfortable and clean, with a jacuzzi in the room. However, I felt at $235 per room per night, including a hot breakfast it was a little expensive. The view from the room is uninspiring. There is a big oil refinery across the harbour.... more

A couple months ago my wife and I went to Inn on the Cove spa and had one of the most relaxing week-ends of our lives. We loved everything down to the smallest detail. Our favorite part was of course the meals that Ross Mavis personally prepared. The atmosphere of the dining hall with the fireplace combined with the elegance... more

Simply put, I booked our stay to enjoy the spa features. What we found was a new set of friends with Ross and Willa. The spa features lived up to their "billing". The other gems we discovered were the nature trails right next door, the beach accessible from their property, and the closeness to the downtown facilities. What the real... more

We have enjoyed great b and bs and hotels in Canada which made the unpleasantness in Inn in the Cove hard to take. My husband and I don't recall such a grim experience in 25 years of travelling, even as backpackers in India. At Ca $200 per night you don't expect peeling paper, chipped paint, stained carpets, bargain store bathrooms... more

Management response from

Innkeepers for 15 years, who take pride in their 'package', we were disappointed to read such a harsh review. The next week a couple from England (both doctors) stayed in this 100 yr. old Heritage room for five nights. They were return visitors and had a wonderful stay. We were complimented on our warmth, hospitality, breakfasts and view. Guests from...

We love the Inn of the Cove. This year was our 3rd stay, our room is usually awesome. The food here is great; Really makes the trip. Unfortunately this year must have been off a little. We got engaged here 2 years ago so came back for our honeymoon. Two housekeepers came in to our locked room without knocking with... more

Our room at the Inn was lovely and we would have loved the view from the terrace if not for the New Brunswick fog! The staff was friendly and helpful with advice about restaurants and attractions. The breakfast was only average; we did appreciate the take-away bags they prepared for us when we had to leave before their breakfast hours... more

If you are anywhere near Saint John, NB, stay here! Excellent in any way you can measure it. Top notch facility, top notch personnel, great food, wonderful views of Bay, etc. Even if you are not all that close by, it is worth a special trip to get here. Ross and Willa immediately make you feel at home. We will... more
