Some rooms are huge and womderful and some are dark and depressing. Make sure you ask before you commit, they have a 36 hour policy and if you wait, there is little they can do to help if fully booked, Big bummer. Breakfast is OK, they make a big deal about it, it's plentiful but, so-so, it's included so, no... more

Regarding the review fom PICKEYTRAVELER . an interesting albeit one sided review of our property and I would like to set the record straight. . We have 10 rooms all decorated in differnt colors themes and styles that set us aside form the cookie cutter rooms of hotels. Unfortunaltely it is unlikely we will be able to satisfy all tastes...

This B&B is on the top of our list of the best historic houses we have visited. It was beautiful, easy to find, comfortable, and the innkeeper, Ralph provided everything from dinner recommendations, menus, directions, and reservations to cocktails and chocolates. Judy's breakfasts were delightful and different each morning and delicious. WE WERE SO HAPPY WITH THE ACCOMMODATIONS THAT WE... more

Historic premises beautifully landscaped with an awesome view of the harbor. Interior design & decorating was tasteful and inviting. Breakfast variety and abundance was delicious incorporating seasonal fruit, pastries, hot main course, and coffee. Ralph and Karen were very knowledgeable about St. John and surrounding area, providing detailed information of tourist & historic attractions and dining selection. The whole atmosphere... more

With just one night to spend in St John we were fortunate enough to have booked here. What a special place, from our own room to the widows walk. We stayed in the Rose room, one of the smaller (and cheaper) rooms. This is a beautiful place, a great location overlooking the city. If you are walkers, as we are,... more

Fantastic Historic House that has been renovated sympathetically. Hosts are informative and friendly without being overbearing. Every attention to detail in decor and furnishings, only stayed one night because of busy schedule but would have happily stayed longer. more

My mom and I have stayed at the Homeport B&B three times now. We've used it as a launching point on our travels from Boston to Nova Scotia, PEI, and Cape Breton, and on our return trips home. Ralph and Karen are lovely hosts and because we were returning guests they were able to upgrade our rooms due to some... more

Upon my arrival Ralph and Karen were there to greet me and were more than happy to see me again and accomodate me. The Crows Nest is a beautiful suite that made me feel as comfortable as my own home and the breakfast was home cooked and delicious. The room was cozy and clean and has a great view of... more

As soon as Ralph welcomes you at the door, you will feel right at home at the Historic Homeport B&B overlooking the Bay of St. John. The houses are beautiful, joined by a delightful common room with a beautiful view. The room was clean and very comfortable. Close to restaurants and walking trails. A great value for travelers. more

The HomePort B&B has been lovingly restored by the owners. We were greeted at the door by the helpful staff and given a tour of the inn. Our room was cozy, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the antiques in common areas and in the our room. The inn is located on a quiet street overlooking the St. John harbor and... more

We stayed at Homeport for a few nights in June 2009. The premises: Beautifully restored houses from the 1850s, connected by a Great Room with picture windows and a view of downtown Saint John and the harbour. Much of the furnishings are practical antique-types. The exterior is well-kept and the neighbourhood has many beautiful homes that appear to have been... more
