I cannot say enough about what a fabulous experience it was staying at the Chef's Inn. My hosts, Todd, Bill and Wanda were warm and welcoming from the moment that I walked in the door. The house is beautiful and charming. I stayed in "The Cubby", which had a lovely view of the Narrows. Breakfast each morning was also spectacular... more

We stayed at the Chef's Inn for 4 nights to begin our 12 day stay in Newfoundland. Todd, Wanda and Bill were very helpful and gracious hosts. We stayed in the Musgrave Suite which was luxurious and large. The breakfasts were very extensive (great cold buffet and the hot option changed every day) and Todd's fish cakes were the best... more

We loved this place as soon as we stepped in the front door. It's an older building in a row of "jellybean houses", and has been lovingly restored. Guests considerately remove their shoes, and the beautiful wooden floors are immaculate. The inn is owned by chef Todd Perrin, and his parents Bill and Wanda help run the place. We were... more

Great place in a good location for exploring St. John's. The host and his son were nice to get to know and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Thanks a lot, Barb and Paul (Melanie is my trip advisor name that I can't seem to edit!) more

Breakfast -- I really enjoyed my stay at the The Chef's Inn. The full breakfasts were indeed 'full'. A variety of cereals, salmon (I think -- I don't eat meat I knew it was fish), cheeses, fruit preserves, scones, breads, fruits, yoghurts, juices, teas, coffee, and then the main course -- cod cakes and blueberry waffles (we were just arriving... more

We stayed at the Chefs Inn for 3 nights. Bill, Wanda and Todd are excellent hosts - they tried to help us as much as possible - with phone use, internet, washing machine. Bill and Wanda also stay in the Basement and made use feel very much at home - Beware of Bills sense of humor - and his 'pineapple'... more

We recently stayed in The Chef's Inn and had a great experience. Todd, the owner, is a fantastic chef and the breakfasts were a wonderful treat. His parents, Bill and Wanda, are on the premises to help with anything and everything. The location is ideal---close to the center and Signal Hill, yet quiet. The rooms were spotless and everything was... more

The Chef's Inn has a very warm and inviting atmosphere. My Girlfriend and I felt right at home in the company of Bill, Wanda and of course there son Todd. For my Girlfriend and I it was our first real getaway since having our son a year ago and we couldn't ask for a better trip! The Inn has a... more

We stayed at The Chef's Inn for the first 2 nights of our trip to Newfoundland. It was my husband's first time in Newfoundland and he couldn't have had a better introduction if we'd been staying with my family. Honestly we'll have to think of an excuse not to stay with them the next time because there is no way... more

The Chef's Inn was a wonderful surprise for my husband and I while staying in St. John's Newfoundland. The local travel office outside of St. John's called around to hotels and Inns that they were familiar with and called the Chef's Inn by mistake. This was a lucky mistake for us! The Inn was right in the center of town,... more
