We stayed at the Banberry House B&B for a 6-day extended stay. It turned out to be the perfect location for our genealogy research and short-hops outside the city. A big plus is the free off-street parking next door at the back of the Park House. Both the Banberry and Park House B&Bs are owned by Dan (lives on-site) who... more

The gourmet breakfasts, exquisite architecture and decorating, a good location, and, most of all, Danny's hospitality combine to make the Banberry Inn (and its sister property, Park House) a great choice for your stay in St. John's. There was a slight mix up with our reservation when we arrived. But Danny quickly resolved it to our satisfaction. I've stayed in... more

My wife and I recently took our first visit to "The Rock" and had an amazing time, thanks in part to our wonderful hosts at Banberry. We arrived very late on a Friday night and our hosts were still awake and there to greet us. They welcomed us to the B&B, Eileen gave my wife the keys and the low-down... more

Just fabulous... This was the St. John's welcome that we had heard about! Danny and his staff were very accommodating and made my wife and I, and our two teenage children very comfortable. Great rooms - clean and beautifully attired. Within easy walking of great restaurants, views, and, The Rooms (a must-see). When we're back in St. John's, this will... more

Stayed here June 2006 for 4 nights. It was under new management, having just been taken over by the owner of the Park Inn B&B next door, Danny. We stayed in the rustic ground floor Labrador room, which was comfortable and reasonably large. The location is good, being just five minutes walk away from downtown. Off-road parkling is provided and... more

Just returned from 6 nights in St. John's, all spent at the Banberry. Elizabeth, the owner/proprietor, is a positively lovely person, warm and accommodating, without being intrusive (though occasionally a bit absent-minded). The breakfasts are very good, and she is very flexible with eating times. It's easy to feel comfortable wandering anywhere in the house, and all the staff are... more

The first stop on our round the world trip and our holiday began with a top class experience. We stayed four days. The Canadian owners are geniune, warm and welcoming. Our booking was handled efficiently and in a friendly manner by email. The photos supplied of the rooms were very helpful and accurate. Our flights arrived into Newfoundland in the... more

My husband and I enjoyed an unforgettable October weekend at the Banberry House during the height of the fall colors. We arrived on a Friday in the late afternoon, and were welcomed warmly by our host Elizabeth. We spent two nights in the wonderfully cozy Labrador room. The bed was extremely comfortable, the fireplace cozy, and the bathroom was luxurious.... more

Went there in June 2004, the room and the staff exceeded my expectations. The cozy fireplace in my room topped it off, and the breakfast was terrific. Not sure why the “not up to par” person had smoke in the room, all the rooms are no smoking, perhaps the fireplace was lit without the flue open, and being cold in... more

The room I was given smelled of smoke as if a campfire had been lit in the room and left to smolder without ventilation. It was also extremely cold, especially in the bathroom, the bed was hard and the room door was next to impossible to lock or unlock and required the assistance of the housekeeping staff to do it.... more
