We stayed twice at the Bluestone Inn during our trip through NL. The first time we were in room #1, which is enormous and very nice, although with a tiny bathroom. The room made us overlook that it was not so clean. Also the basement / breakfast area was a bit dirty. The second time we got a different room,... more

I am from St. John's originally and find myself a little like a tourist when I return for a month or two each year. I hadn't stayed at the Bluestone for a year or so and was lucky to get a room for one week. [It was really hard to get a rental car, so book early if you are... more

We had a great time. Basically we were just looking for a place to rest our heads at night with a reasonable rate. The rates were very decent considering what you get. Neil was funny and very laid back. The lounge area in the basement is beautiful and an awesome place to relax. We would recommend this B & B. more

Excellent location, friendly host, beautiful historic home. High ceilings, excellent bedding. 4 or 5 B&Bs on the street. Abba Inn, Balmoral, Cantwell and the most expensive housing in the City with likely the best views in Eastern Canada. The host was fun. The breakfasts great. more

I was terribly disappointed in this establishment. I was traveling in Nfld for 2 weeks and this was the worst accomodation by far. My room was dusty and run-down. I regret booking there. more

This restored old home is well maintained. We had room #1 on the main floor. It's enormous, attractive & comfortable... containing a king size bed with an excellent mattress. On the other hand, bathroom is very tiny. This room faces the street and even though we had a window open, we never heard noise from the street! Unfortunately, only one... more

Excellent B&B, highly recommend to any tourists seeking Newfoundland hospitality. The Innkeeper and maids were extremely curtious, friendly and helpful, never felt so welcome anywhere before. The rooms were beautiful, clean and cozy. The breakfasts in the morning were regular, however delicious. The employees and innkeeper were very helpful. They advised on places to see to get a taste of... more
