The room was actually well appointed. Over all it was clean but there were two pubic hairs on one of the face towels. I just used another one and it looked like it was run through the wash/drier and it just stuck in the fibres... cleaners should take a closer look before they put them out. more

Terrible experience -- we arrived (me, husband, baby) late in the evening having reserved a suite with crib online several months earlier, and paid for it. The woman at the desk said we had already stayed there and/or never paid. My husband spent about an hour on the phone and online with his bank to prove we had already paid... more

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I made changes to my reservation more than once and they were happy to help me get what I needed. They know the area and gave me great directions to anywhere I have gone so far (I'm still here). As I am on a work trip and visiting other communities in the territory... more

My wife and I stayed at the Yellowknife Inn for 2 nights to watch the Northern Lights. We booked the Bed and Breakfast package priced at $129 per night on the web but when we checked in, we were told that this package does not exist! However, we were given a voucher to have breakfast at the adjacent restaurant. The... more

I booked this place thinking it would be a little luxury after the long drive up. It's OK, but I never felt quite comfortable. The omnious signs behind the desk warning people of the consequences of bad behavior made me feel "funny". The renovation is good, but the elevators were still creaky. Downtown Yellowknife shuts down about 5 PM and... more

Stayed at the Yellowknife Inn for two nights in early December 2008. The room was comfortable, newly decorated and well equiped, although a bit small. Business conference facilities were adequate. My colleagues were disappointed with the staff - they did not go out of their way to help. The restaurant, located in the adjacent shopping mall, had decent food, but... more

Yes the Yellowknife Inn has taken a few hard knocks over the years but it is on track now. The lobby, rooms, and meeting rooms have all been up-graded. The restaurant has new menus with excellent food and service. Check out both the daily specials at lunch and dinner. The hotel is located in the down town core and there... more

Stayed for a week. Newly renovated and it was clean and fresh. Some reno's still ongoing but, overall a good stay. Great location in the downtown with easy access to all the sights. Would stay again. more

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel during our trip to Yellowknife for the week of the Solstice Festival in town. We were impressed with Yellowknife in a whole and the people there but did not care at all for the Yellowknife Inn. The staff was good for the little we dealt with them. Very friendly like most people... more

I certainly agree with all the reviews, I've read. The one thing it does have going for it, especially during bad wather, is that it has direct "Indoor" access to the shopping center, "Other" cafes, and government offices, should you be there to do business with them, as I was. While the suite I stayed in was nice, it definitely... more
