My parents, husband and I stayed with Joan in her wonderful b&b in Herring Cove for 6 nights. It is about a 10 minute drive into Halifax and is a nice drive along the water passing a few yacht clubs. We stayed in the Eagle's Nest which is a self-contained ground floor, one bedroom unit. It has a separate livingroom, kitchen with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. There is a nice large tv in the livingroom which contains a day bed (she can also provide a cot). There are sliding glass doors leading to the yard where you can walk down to the dock. The b&b has lovely views of the cove and Atlantic ocean where you can watch all the fishing boats and cruise ships making their way in and out of Halifax harbour.
