I stayed for four days at the motel, it was wonderful. It was peaceful, close to great places to eat. Everyone was so nice. This is the place to stay in Shelburne more

Wow, my wife and I stayed in Cottage 14, incredibly well kept, everything in it from a plasma TV to an electric fireplace, BBQ, breakfast was great and bountiful and Mary our hostess was so pleasant we didn’t want to leave more

Coming from Chicago, I'm used to paying outrageous room rates. But everything's a little different in Canada. Like billboards on the highway do not exist in NS! If you don't get off the main highway and take the Lighthouse Route, you'll miss out on some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet. MacKenzies is kinda' like that too. Off... more

We spent one night here with our kiddo, and were impressed. Unfortunately the weather was terrible so we didn't get to try the pool, to kiddo's disappointment. We stayed in a room rather than a cottage. It was a standard but very clean motel room, not fancy but well cared-for. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, not something you... more

We were looking for a place to stay in the Shelburne area that was relatively close to the Yarmouth ferry. We discovered the MacKenzie Motel in the Doer's and Dreamer's Guide and read others' reviews here on Tripadvisor. It was a great little motel - very clean and the manager is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the 2... more

We stayed at this motel having made a last-minute booking a few days before, earlier in our vacation. We were looking for somewhere to stay on our last night in Nova Scotia, before catching the ferry to Portland from Yarmouth. We had the choice between a queen-size and king-size bedroom. Since we needed our rest we choose the king and... more

We found the motel on Internet, and booked one night in a room with a queen bed; the room was promised to have access to high-speed wireless Internet, and included a breakfast. We were not disappointed! Besides the wireless Internet, the room offered a TV, a fridge, a coffee maker and a microwave – add complimentary tea, coffee to brew,... more

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage and it was delightful. Very well equiped and clean. The front porch and back deck provided a nice place to enjoy the fresh air. The Continental Breakfast was wonderful, so many choices to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. We are hoping to return again soon. Linda more

Arriving in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, by the Cat ferry, we drove to Mackenzie's Motel & Cottages very late in the evening, as expected, but the motel operators welcomed us warmly. Our two motel rooms (for two couples) were adjacent rooms and quite adequate for our first night. Comfortable queen beds and an adequate continental-type breakfast. Good value for the money.... more
