A beautiful little hotel full of quaint, old world charm with modern standards of service and homes comforts. Ideally located for exploring the city, this tastefully decorated historic inn is a little gem, situated just a short walk from the water front and historic sites of Halifax. The staff are attentive and professional, the rooms are well appointed if not... more

I took my wife to Halifax for her Birthday for 3 days. We have been to Halifax a few times and stayed at the Prince George Hotel. This time it was just a romantic weekend with no set plans. Wanting something different than the standard hotel room we chose the Halliburton. We stayed in the Grand Suite and got the... more

We spent 2 nights at the Halliburton Inn. It is located on a busy street and a bar just outside the back alley. The first night was horrible. The noise went on until 4:00 am. Then it was quiet until the traffic started at about 06:00 am. When we first made our reservation, I specifically asked for a quiet suite... more

Booked the romance package... amazing fruit/cheese etc.. and champagne welcome. Beds were perfect. Loved the downtown location to walk to restaurants. Best choice in the city. more

We rolled into Halifax late on a Sat. afternoon with no reservations anywhere but with help from the Tourist Bureau we landed at this hotel. It is truly an elegant, comfortable, and quite lovely establishment. Breakfast was continental (good for a calorie-conscious traveler) and the coffee terrific. I loved the computer in the library that enabled me to keep in... more

The Halliburton has a great location, close to good restaurants, the waterfront, etc. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, in the 3rd townhouse, on the 3rd floor. The room was quite small, and I kept hitting my head on the slanted ceiling. The room was ok, nothing special for a "boutique hotel". Looked like a bed & breakfast... more

We stayed 2 nights on a touring trip of Canada. We arrived early, and although our allocated room was not ready we were offered a smaller alternative immediately. With hindsight we should probably have waited for the larger room, as we found our back room in the building next door rather small (and a little dark), but it had a... more

We arrived late on the 30th of June and stayed for two nights. Our room was great, the staff were great, the breakfast was ok, but hey...it was included. We would definately stay there on our next trip to Halifax. more

This hotel is a gem. While my colleaguest stayed at a nondescript chain, I relaxed in space and comfort at the Halliburton. My room was enormous and had a queen bed, very large sitting area with a full size sofa and arm chairs, a desk with *free* high speed internet, and a nice bathroom. Breakfast is included in the room... more

Wonderful service from reservation to check out. Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Within a good walking distance from everywhere in Halifax. As it is summr, we enjoyed some time in the hotel's outdoor patio area. We would definitely go back to this hotel as opposed to one of the bigger ones. more
