What a wonderful, unique hotel this is. Elegant, old world, wonderful customer service right in the heart of Halifax at very reasonable rates. The room full of original, beautiful antiques. Even breakfast included. Just the perfect place to be after a long day of work. Recommend it to anyone who wants something different than standard hotel fare. more

Service is excellent. Very beautiful interior of the building with old stylised antique furniture inside but in very good shape. Food on breakfast is nice and free cup of coffee is available during whole day in lobby. Wireless internet is in your room and two computers in hall. This hotel is for that people, who like stay in building with... more

We stayed at the Waverley for 2 nights and were very pleased. We had one of the smaller standard rooms, but it was more than adequate and very nicely decorated. Excellent location for all the sights of downtown and handy for the brilliant Chives Restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful, coffee and snacks available all day and good breakfast.... more

We booked the Waverley because it looked kitsch and fun ... antique-tastic. Silly us. We stayed here on two separate nights in early September. The first night we were in a room tucked away in the back of a newish annexe. It also seemed to be partially underground, with a tiny high-up window mostly blocked by the world's noisiest air... more

I stayed here on a short trip and must admit I was a little weary about what I would be getting. I booked my room at an incredibly low rate and because of the saying: "You get what you pay for," I have to say I didnt have high expectations. Boy was I ever wrong. The Waverly Inn blew me... more

We stayed at the Waverly for two nights. The staff was very accommodating. The room was very tastfully done and very clean. Very convenient to downtown and not a problem with the walking distance. Be sure to check out the "Old Burying Ground" which is within two blocks. Good restaruants very close, the pub a few doors down was great... more

I found the Waverley Inn a delightful place to stay. It's full of antique furniture. The staff is nice, helpful and there is plenty of good service. The hotel has free internet and a lovely lounge area plus next to it cake and coffee/tea all day. Breakfast is included in the price--I believe the restaurant is only open for breakfast... more

The Waverley has a lot of personality and charm. The lobby is gorgeous and luxurious, with bonus amenities like a computer with printer available, and self-serve sweets and coffee/tea during the day. Our room on the second floor was elegant, with a huge, high King bed and beautiful linens. The bathroom had modern amenities, with a jacuzzi tub that we... more

We very much enjoyed our four nights at this lovely, well situated inn. The three nights in the premium room were admittedly more comfortable than the one night booked errantly in a room with only a double. We really appreciated the internet access and even a printer to print off our boarding passes for e-check-in flight home. There were always... more

My husband and I spent one night at the Waverley Inn in a beautifully appointed room with a private Jacuzzi bath. The furnishings and linens were gorgeous and we were in absolute comfort during our stay. The staff there are incredibly helpful and directed us to a selection of great restaurants and bars, and when we returned we made ourselves... more
