I have been meaning to write this review since our two-night stay here last year.
Cottage on Lasalle was an AMAZING experience!!!
We had to drive from Montreal to Toronto to pick up relatives from the airport there and show them the city and, of course, Niagara Falls. So we were looking for accommodations somewhere between the two areas: this B&B seemed to be tastefuly decorated and was very reasonably priced: we rented both its guest rooms.
We ended up getting to Burlington VERY late: traffic jam on the 401 starting at Kingston, getting lost because we forgot to take along a map (we called the our hostess from the road - this was about 10 p.m. - and she tried valiantly to give us directions, even though we weren't sure where the heck we were). We finally arrived at about 11 p.m. Ironically, the church on the other side of the street had a sign saying "Thank God you made it!" Penny, not the bit annoyed of our lateness, it seemed, cheerfully greeted us... more
