Bampfield Hall was about a 20-30 minute walk away from the falls. Although the walk along River Rd. was scenic, after a few times it was a bit tiring. There have been recent renovations on Bampfield Hall which to some may appear to be a little on the tacky side. For instance, the bright blue and yellow paint on the exterior of the house is enough to attract a carnival on the front lawn. The interior renovations (I'm sure they're not yet completed) are more often than not rather sloppy. Not one of the more expensive B&B's in Niagara Falls (100 dollars a night for a queen bed with ensuite), it was still pricey for what was provided. There were absolutely no amenities in the room or bathroom. A TV was provided, but the screen was smaller than a PC monitor...and we had to practically look up to the ceiling to see it. On a more positive note-- breakfast was delicious and the host was nice enough. We learned over breakfast that the owner of Bampfield Hall owns 4 B&B's in Niagara... more
