We stayed at both the King George and Queen Charlotte rooms. Both were tasefully decorated with very comfortable beds; but the King George was our favorite. Annette was a nice hostess and an unbelievably good cook! Futhermore she was very helpful by giving us both tips and suggestions about the area and attractions. Michael added the final touch to the... more

This picturesque B&B offers a fantastic location in the historic area within walking distance of Shaw Festival venues, restaurants, shops, and a short drive to Niagara Falls and area wineries. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Annette and Michael Twining are warm and charming hosts who immediately make their guests feel welcome and at home. The breakfasts alone (prepared... more

My husband and I have visited Niagara on the Lake for over 30 years. During that time, we have seen many changes...some good and some bad. We have stayed at many NOTL places, but this is the first time we tried a bed and breakfast. There are many to choose from. If you desire a locale that is close to... more

Our new friends, Michael,Annette and their grandson Merrick(sp), made our fifth anniversary a memorable one.Not only was the King George suite spacious and clean, but also amazingly cozy thanks to the in-room fireplace.Breakfast was simply wondrous.Three full courses for breakfast ! Who does that? We will most definitely be returning in the future. Do not hesitate to call Annette with any... more

We so appreciated Annette and Michael's flexibility, assistance, and warm hospitality! They made our stay [5 nights] and our daughter and son-in-law's stay [1 night] a wonderful family experience. Outstanding breakfasts! Exceptional service! more

My wife and I booked a few days at this B&B for our 1st anniversary based solely on the glowing reviews posted to this site. I'm sure the B&B itself is gorgeous but we soon discovered that Annette’s level of professionalism and courtesy is extremely lacking. Unfortunately, we were forced to cancel our trip 14 days prior to our reservation... more

This was such a highlight of my holiday to Canada and Niagara -on-the-Lake a wonderful place to stay. Our hosts were gracious, welcoming and thoughtful. The rooms were beautifully appointed; the house a delight. Our hosts were attentive but not overbearing. The food was just wonderful. I especially liked the family atmosphere. We felt thoroughly spoilt and hated leaving! I'd... more

Annette and Michael know how to treat a guest beyond the basic requirement. Their home is a joy to spend time in. The historical building and its contents give you a feeling of the time of history. Annette prepares a breakfast that is out of this world. I really appreciate the kindness that they offered. Conversation with Annette and Mike... more

This is the place to stay in this quaint historic town. The house is filled with antiques, in every room and hall, all from the 1800s. The house was built in 1817 just after the town was burned in the war of 1812, so it is one of the most historic places. The Twynings are very welcoming, and be sure... more

My husband and I celebrated out 15th anniversary at Twining House and everything was wonderful. Annette is a fantastic cook (the breakfasts could not be better), and she and Mike are friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to. The inn attracts many repeat, interesting guests, making for great breakfast conversation. We stayed in the King George room on the second... more
