We went with the kids swim team for 5 nights. The rooms are large dorm style. The mattresses are hit and miss for firmness. Bring your own pillows ( Loblaw's across street sold them for $4.00) the ones supplied are to small. Big fridge and microwave in the room. There are communal kitchens and lounges on each floor. We did... More

We had this residence booked for my daughter's entire sport club as we were attending a large meet in Ottawa. The club attempted to book something economical. Unfortunately, the savings were not worth the sacrifice. Upon entering the room, the first thing we smelled was cigarette smoke. (All rooms are "non-smoking"). It was hard to tell if it was the... I went to Ottawa for the Monet exhibit. Algonquin College offered the best price with free parking and continental breakfast. I was expecting a dorm, and that's exactly what I got. There was plenty of parking, but the lot was hard to find after dark. I almost drove to the bus stop. The room was a nice suite with 2... More

Do not stay here, it is filthy and broken. The staff was unmotivated to say the least. The vertical blinds in one of the bedrooms was missing slats and they never repaired it even after we complained three times. For two mornings there was no sugar and the staff couldn't be bothered to get any. The floors had never been... More

Booked 2 nights. After arriving the night I instantly contacted the booking agent to cancel the 2nd night. Fortunately I did get the refund. Have been to a college dorm but this one seems worn out badly. On arrival there was no clear sign indicating where to park my car. One thing this place has common with many Las Vegas... More

We stayed here during the Canada Day weekend 2012 because we could not find hotel space elsewhere in Ottawa for this very busy long weekend. If you are planning to visit here you should be aware in advance that this is a college dorm and not really a hotel. The facilities are spartan to say the least, although the two-room... More

Overall, it’s a nice stay with the money we paid. There are pros and cons I thought people should know. Pros: Privacy:Inside the room, there are 2 separate rooms both equipped with a double bed, TV, studying desk, internet and open closet. Outside the bedrooms, there is a kitchen with a microwave and big refrigerator, and a roomy bathroom. You... More

Well, this is the place to stay for baseball teams, or if you are attending a swim meet or other athletic event at the college. If you have never been to university then be warned that you are not getting a two room suite like what you might expect at Quality Suites or other chain hotel. We stayed here because... More

Great location near shopping, restaurants, with easy access to the highway. The rooms were very big (they are 2-bedroom apartments with eat-in kitchen), and quiet. Free parking, internet (wired only, which is a little frustrating for electronics that don't have an ethernet port), and air-conditioned. The down-side was that it is cleaned by students who don't have an eye for... More

We were shocked by the prices of lodging in Ottawa and turned off by the poor reviews of any which charged $100 or less per night. Here, you get a two bedroom unit with a nice kitchen and bath for $49 ($55 with taxes). They have internet access (wired only using their supplied Ethernet cable), a large refrigerator/freezer, microwave and... More
