This hotel is undergoing a major renovation and it was very "off-putting". I stayed as it was the site of a conference I was attending. The staff were great, food in the restaurant wonderful, but too expensive. They need to confine their renovations into sections and close off those areas to their guests. My wife and I took her parents and her older sister to see Ottawa on July 30th, 2011 (3 rooms). We stayed at this hotel for 1 night while we toured around the Canadian Parliament. Very unsatisfied with stay. I purchased a "3.5 star" room in December 2011 through Hotwire. The hotel is under extensive renovation and is at most a 2 star experience. Rooms and bathrooms are tired and worn looking - in need of the renovation that the hotel is currently undergoing. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable.
