This hotel is pretty average... which I consider a good thing. Room was clean, Flat screen TV, VERY comfortable bed. The pool facilities aren't too great, hot tub and sauna should both be hotter, pool was okay. No change rooms though. Stayed two nights, close to grocery and a fridge in the room, so you can save some money that... more

We stayed for 2 nights in June on a visit to Ottawa. The property and the room were both dirty and run down. There was no soap, shampoo, or cream rinse for the shower. The bathroom fan didn't work so the smoke alarm went off both mornings after my shower. The TV movie channels said temporarily unavailable for both days.... more

As I am a vegetarian, I always prefer a suite with kitchen. Unfortunately Ottawa didn't have too many hotels with kitchen. Ended up at Best Western. This hotel is centrally located and it quite close to Nortel office. The room was very spacious, but the kitchen was bad. It had a make shift mobile kitchen. The positive points were it... more

The cleanliness was not there. I wondered the first night if we had clean sheets on the bed. The next day, we didn't leave the card on the bed which is to indicate we wanted clean linen. We didn't get it. The next day I marked the sheets to prove if they were being changed, didn't leave the card on... more

I just want to thank you for a most wonderful weekend at your beautiful hotel. I was a guest this past weekend staying from Thursday, March 26 until Sunday, March 29, 2009. From walking through the front door, meeting Francois to all of the care with the delicious and beautifully presented meals and snacks by the wonderful Irena, we were... more

My friend and I didn't stay here long but it was comfortable, clean, and slightly less expensive than most of the outrageously-priced hotels in the area. It had all the basic amenities and as mentioned in other reviews, it's close to a lot of stuff (there are three Tim Hortons within a block!). My biggest complaint would be that for... more

Food and service was excellent. We arrived at 1030 p.m. and asked if we could quickly order some food and asked if there would be any restrictions due to the hour. There was no problem, in fact they delivered it to our room and service was great considering that we ordered full course meals. Portions are good and food is... more

The staff was rather presumptuous and not very helpful. The pool area is very nice, but the rooms with the balconies are completely run down and in need of renovation. I was surprised to see such mistrust in guests regarding pool towels. When I went to the front desk to fetch them on my way to the pool I had... more

We stayed this past month at the Best Western Barons on Richmond Rd. in Ottawa, Ontario. It was so close to everything that we rarely needed to drive anywhere. It was situated close to restaurants, stores of all kinds and not too far from the Corel Centre or from the downtown area. The hotel had an excellent restaurant, with good... more
