“Newley renovated and cold beer, need I say more?”

I stayed here for 2 nights for work and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel restaurant had a nice bar to sit in after the meetings were over and the food served during the events was really good. We also ate out at the local Schwarma Palace which was AMAZING! And was only a 2 minute walk from the hotel.... More

Stayed 2 nights mid week for a conference. Used the free airport shuttle, it was very quick and convenient. Taxi one way to downtown (near byway market area) was about $30. “Perfectly ok, close to airport with shuttle.”

First get a room in the Tower - updated and better rooms. The rooms are very large. Service is friendly. That said it is not a fancy place; really more a B hotel. I stayed at the Southway Hotel for 3 nights. Room was quiet, spacious, comfortable and clean. Carpet was stained. Renovations going on in hotel but my room had not been updated. “Unbelievably inept!”

While checking in I asked for a room away from elevator so I could sleep in. Yep, got that room away from the elevator right next to the room being demolished!!! Jackhammer like noises from much before 9 am and the front desk was surly and rude as if it was my fault!!! Never again!

“AWESOME HOTEL NEAR THE AIRPORT”

This Is a great hotel near the airport in Ottawa with a free airport shuttle. Nice big, clean rooms. Very comfy king size bed. Good value for the price. The on-site restaurant is very good. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Ottawa.

Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Room excellent and the food was very good. Location was excellent . Bus service to downtown right outside Hotel. Airport 10 minutes away with a great shuttle service. All in all a great place to stay.

“Good hotel.”

They were renovating so it was noisey. Room were ok but bathroom was not cleaned well. Hair on tje floor and in the tub. Good friendly staff. Free shuttle to/from the airport. The restaurant has good food but a little pricey.

“Best Beds ever!”

I loved this hotel. Staff were all so friendly and caring. They kept the room so fresh and tidy for me and I felt so welcome there. There are lots of little places to eat and shop within walking distance. Southway has a nice new feel to it-oh yes and the bed was incredibly comfy.

“Enjoyable Experience”

Great location and clean hotel. The Shallows restaurant has great food and excellent service. You enjoy a continental breakfast and wi-fi - both included in your room. The room was a good size and well-maintained. While there were renovations underway (replacing carpet in main entrance), it was done in a non-intrusive way.
