The Travelodge Ottawa West is located on one of the main roads into Ottawa and is a fairly large hotel with a much larger than average waterpark for a hotel. Be very careful. My friends and I stayed here in connecting rooms. The doors to the patios are kept unlocked on the ground floor. Wish I'd read more of these rather than taking a friend's advice. Beds were awful - would have been better sleeping on the floor. Food was atrocious - stale bread and danish and canned fruit salad. This hotel has very little going for it. I could only see it appropriate for visiting high-school sports teams and families with young children to enjoy the pool offerings, otherwise forget it.
