Stayed for two nights, We picked this hotel because it was Pet Friendly . The room was clean but had these great french doors leading to the indoor"waterpark""Only problem is , the doors are permanently locked so that you can not enter the pool area from your room. (why bother having them ) The water area is geared for younger... more

The Travelodge Ottawa West is located on one of the main roads into Ottawa and is a fairly large hotel with a much larger than average waterpark for a hotel. We stayed in a twin Queen room and somewhat crammed the five of us in as the children were a little too young to be split into a second room.... more

Stayed here in early July (not Canada Day weekend) as a friend of ours was getting married here. $119/nt. was the very best they could do for a group rate! I know the hotel business. My wife and I spent 10 years in the hotel business and this is unacceptable, especially with the food and beverage revenue they were getting!... more

We arrived in Ottawa during the Tulip Festival AND Victoria Day week-end. Unfortunately this hotel was the last available one we could find. We were told we got the last room and the best one in the hotel. The smallish and tired room overlooked the waterpark and reeked of chlorine. The air conditioner was not working and it was hot... more

Be very careful. My friends and I stayed here in connecting rooms. The doors to the patios are kept unlocked on the ground floor. When we complained to the font desk that it is a security risk, no one seemed to care. And worse, they seemed to not understand why keeping the doors unlocked was a security risk. Luckily, we... more

I stayed at this hotel as part of a business trip. A collegue booked it so I had no choice, but I definately would not choose it again. Check in was short and sweet, and finding my room was okay. Elevator was broken so I had to take the stairs. The stairway seemed like it was made for emergency use... more

We stayed at this Travelodge hotel March 9, 10 & 11/2008 for a conference in the basement of the hotel. Unless you are with a group of kids for hockey tourney or March Break, I am not sure why you would want to stay here. For $129.95/night we got to listen to kids screaming and hollering day and night, we... more

Wish I'd read more of these rather than taking a friend's advice. Beds were awful - would have been better sleeping on the floor. Food was atrocious - stale bread and danish and canned fruit salad. Noise and the smell of chlorine in the room was overwhelming until 10 - then til 11 while the staff cleaned and joked around... more

This hotel has very little going for it. I could only see it appropriate for visiting high-school sports teams and families with young children to enjoy the pool offerings, otherwise forget it. My main complaint is value. Had I received the room and service at half the price that I paid ($129.00+tax/nite) I would have been satisfied. My stay started... more

My family and I stayed here in December 2006 because my brother's wedding reception was being held at this hotel. Since we were traveling with two small ones (1 and 3 years old) we made a weekend of it and had a blast! When we checked in, a large group of people had also just checked in and I found... more
