This bed and breakfast is very well located from dowton (Byward market, Parlement ...) The rooms are so charming and very well decorated. You will find some teas or tisanes and some reviews. Alexander house B&B, in a nice quiet, historic neighbourhood is an easy 15-30 minute walking distance to the major downtown cultural attractions, restaurants, and shopping that we visited. The Alexander House is conveniently located near downtown Ottawa and is only a half hour walk from the Byward Market. We largely enjoyed our stay, but would like to warn future travellers that there are a few outstanding issues that were problematic for us. Had a fabulous stay for two weeks in June. The house itself is a lovely period home set in the tree lined area of Sandy Hill close to consular buildings and parks. At a minimum, we expect a comfortable bed at a B&B. The bed lacked a headboard, the mattress was uncomfortable, the room was small. No dresser, so an electric teapot sat on the floor.
