We generally celebrate anniversaries and birthdays by exploring various B&Bs in and around Ontario. In October, we booked the Sheboane B&B based on photos of the property and the few public reviews available online.

While the ammenities themselves are lovely, our stay was sadly compromised by "Lucy," the resident Great Dane. As we were advised by our hosts, we stayed clear of the dog, as she is quite protective of the grounds and her owners. While they assured us that we wouldn't hear so much as a peep from her during our stay, we were awakened around 2:00am to Lucy's constant and very loud, deep barking, which continued intermittently throughout the night.

A truly fine bed and breakfast to us, conjures images of luxurious surroundings with fine detail, delicious homemade breakfasts and a restful night's sleep. There, we awoke tired, frustrated and admittedly, extremely disappointed.
