This B&B is a great choice for those who want to visit Niagara Falls but also take in the wine country, Niagara on the Lake and the wider area, and don't mind (or positively welcome!) being away from the tourist bustle. Right on the shore of Lake Ontario, it's in a quiet residential neighbourhood with a small park nearby - yet it's easy to get to from the main QEW highway. Host Elaine is chatty and friendly, and the room we had (blue, nautical-themed) was spacious with a pleasant view and nice ensuite bathroom (including a huge shower). There is an indoor pool which guests can use, although we didn't have time on our stay.
Check out the restaurant guide before heading out to find somewhere to eat as not much is obvious unless you know where to look. It's just about possible to walk to Port Dalhousie (where there are bars and bar-type restaurants) but downtown is a drive away.
