When you go to a Fairmont hotel, you have expectations. The Royal York is in serious need of updating. Pretty much everything from the lobby to the rooms is faded and looks old. The hotel Royal York is probably the best hotel in Toronto. The hotel is located downtown and it is right across from a train station (there is no noise from the trains though) and in the basment it connects to a subway station.
