It was truly a treat to have the opportunity to spend 5 days at the Lakeview Victorian in October 2004. The inn is located in a residential area of Toronto, with many shops and restaurants right nearby. The streetcar to downtown stops less than 2 blocks away and was easy to navigate, even with never having been to Toronto before.... more

We booked this B & B purely on the comments from Trip advisor. It is different from other places we have stayed but has great character. Stayed here for a week having read the previous reviews. As with previous US reviewer, our overall reaction was of disappointment for a number of reasons: 1) shared bathroom facilities on main floor - we were also not shown the 2nd bathroom by host on arrival. After reading all the great reviews of this B&B, I was a bit disappointed. I've stayed in numerous B&B's and this was the only one where I wished that I had stayed elsewhere. Most of the rooms are on the same floor as the kitchen and at 7:30 every morning, the sound of dishes & silverware clanging could be heard.... more

We had a wonderful stay. The hospitality was great and the personal touch of the hostess made the trip memorable. Fresh baked goodies in the morning and great conversation was an added touch! Highly recommended! more
