While the hallways and rooms felt a bit dated, the club/lounge easily helped make up for that. The spread was great for small bites and breakfast and the atmosphere and views were excellent. The gym was also a bright spot; huge and tons of equipment. Would definitely stay again.

We spent three nights in this 43-floor hotel. What attracts us the most about this hotel is its newly renovated executive lounge on the 43rd floor. The view from the lounge of the city is spectacular. As it is a tall building, there are two lift sections serving the lower floors and higher floors. The hotel also has two entrances. However, the facade of the side entrance is not so appealing. Otherwise, the main entrance looks grand. My only disappointment during the stay and I hope it is not permanent, was its wifi connection issue. It has connectivity problem and as a business traveller, this is highly inconvenient as I had to resort to my cellular for hotspot connection to my laptop. Having said that, I would still return to this hotel if I ever return to Toronto again.

My first stay in this hotel, having previously been a regular at The Westin Harbour. First impressions - the lobby is stunning. So many people around but it didn't feel overcrowded. Check in was a bit 'meh'. Yes it was efficient (at around 3pm) but the staff were un-engaging and robotic like. I asked for a room on the north side, which given the 1300 rooms i didn't think would be an issue. I got an instant, "no sorry we're full" which was followed by a shocking comment - "don't worry you'll be Platinum soon". I interpret that as 'your Gold status means nothing, but another 24 stays and we'll consider your request'.. Are the room allocations cast in stone? Surely at only 3pm they could done a little juggling in recognition of my Gold status. I wasn't even asking for a room upgrade, which my Gold status is supposed to give me (although in defense of the hotel, I've had 12 Marriott stays since getting it and am yet to receive a room upgrade anywhere). All i wanted was a North facing room, on any floor. So what did I get? A south-facing room on the 5th floor - which was actually the first floor in terms of rooms. Worse still it was facing straight into a massive office block, so i couldn't have the curtains open and the room felt very dark despite the beautiful sunny day in Toronto. My business colleague took me into the 43rd floor Club lounge using his Platinum status and that has I have to say, what was possibly one of the best lounge views I've seen anywhere in a Marriott brand hotel. My amazement was short lived however, when I jokingly offered to 'buy' the first round of drinks in 'Happy Hour'.. I actually had to BUY the drinks?? What kind of Club lounge happy hour CHARGES for drinks?? And not just charges, but charges inflated 5 star hotel prices?? C$13 (plus TAX) for one beer??? That throwaway comment cost me C$42..!!!! To balance my comment I'll add that the complimentary hot snacks were delicious in the evening Happy Hour. I didn't visit for breakfast so can't comment about that. Before my stay i'd read that the hotel had recently undergone a multi million dollar refurbishment. In reality it seems this was all spent on the lobby and the lounge. My room looked like it had been furnished in 1972, when the hotel was opened, and hadn't been updated since. Of course it has the usual Marriott brand amenities such as the bed, shower, toiletries but everything else was brown wood. Very dark brown. With the lack of sunshine, due to the overlooking office block, this made it very depressing. I certainly wouldn't choose to stay here if I was booking my own accommodation. With hindsight I found out I was relegated to a smaller 'tower' in the hotel with only 11 floors (7 being room-floors). My dreams of staying in a 43-floor, mega hotel with 'sweeping views of the Metropolitan Toronto area' were dashed. To sum up, i'll say this hotel, in my opinion, is definitely is not worth extra cost, especially when all my Gold status gets me is a "don't worry, you'll soon be Platinum".

A little expensive, but at least it’s a nice hotel for the price. Always enjoy staying here and love that path is connected. Parking across the street is cheap for Toronto and it’s close to so many things. I also love the complimentary water you get and the nice glass drinking cups. My only complaints would be that there was a ticking noise all night long in the fan or something from the furnace which made it hard to sleep and that the lobby bar closes at 12:30 on a Saturday…. I saw them turn away at least 20 people including us. We would have stayed for a bit to enjoy but will be back.

I stayed at the hotel for a one night stay as part of one day conference. While not cheap, the price was competitive as compared to other similar hotels in the downtown area. The hotel is conveniently located downtown close to many restaurants and other downtown attractions. It a very large hotel that hosts many conferences meaning the large lobby area is always bustling with lots of people and activity. I was graciously upgraded to a junior suite overlooking City Hall. The room was large with a comfortable king sized bed and sitting area with a large tv. While the bathroom was spacious, the shower was not the luxurious type of shower that I expected of a hotel of this caliber. Overall a pleasant stay and a return visit if I am in the area in the future is a definite possibility The

The room was a good size and clean. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant has good food. The location is perfect for walking the downtown area and is close to the train station as well. Overall it was a nice place to stay, a little expensive but these days you will have to pay for these luxuries.

We stayed in this hotel because of its location, and as our weekend trip to Toronto was in celebration of a milestone, we ordered room service as a treat to ourselves. We had memories of other times enjoying an elegant dinner in the quiet of our room. Imagine our surprise when someone arrived at our door with a paper bag containing two boxes and flimsy plastic cutlery. Room service at this hotel has become more like a quick take-out experience, and we wouldn't do that to ourselves again. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly helpful staff. They were wonderful without exception.

We booked a high level room facing the Nathan Philips square during the Christmas holidays. We also asked for the club level. This upper floor lounge is stunning! You receive a free breakfast in morning and horderves in the evening. This is a well designed private lounge with gorgeous views of Toronto on both sides of the room. One side you can see the city and the other side you can see Nathan Philips square! We visited Toronto with family and enjoyed the skating at the Nathan Philips square. The grandchildren also enjoyed the pool on the main floor. Half the pool is outside and half is inside. The lobby is continuously being renovated and is a very cozy space for the family to socialize in. We will definitely be back!

With 1600 delegates visiting this Conference Centre I expected delays. To my surprise everything from check incheck out went smoothly. All staff (receptionist, pool staff, cleaning staff went out of their way to ensure my four day stay was pleasant. Location, location, is another highlight. Toronto skating rink across the street, numerous restaurants (Kimichi Korean House, The Keg) within walking distance. The view from 33rd floor was breathtaking
