I believe this is the place I stayed nearly 25 years ago. Based on the reviews it must be! I remember a very nice lady, but a very eccentric environment. The thing that impressed me the most was the collection of different place settings on the wall in the kitchen/dining area. Can anyone tell me...is this the same place? Was... More

Dear Hubby and I stayed with Enid for about a week whilst attending the Music Festival at The Beaches in July 2011. We had an absolutely lovely stay with the most charming Enid and her brand new furry kitten babies. Yes, it's a home converted to a B & B. This just means that the rooms are more character than... I was going to rent for a few months ---the price was incredible -- clutter, stale air, unclean, smelt of urine (cat, not sure) -- pad locks on outside of bedroom doors (scary) not lock on inside bedroom doors.....met one unfortunate man who must have booked onlineand could tell from his welcome wished he has visited first...the back yard looked... I had the good fortune of finding Enid and her bed and breakfast at a time when I needed a short term rental while my new home was being prepared this year. I cannot say enough about Enid and her wonderful, magical home. Enid is a definite reminder that life is to be lived and not just existed. I stayed... More

My wife and I, even though we live in Toronto thought it would be fun to go to a bed and breakfast for our anniversary. When we got in we found a place that was so cluttered with junk that and tacky decor that it made me uncomfortable from the get go. We decided to at least look at the... More

We stayed for a weekend at Enid's and were very happy with the experience. The Jungle room was fun - a decent room with a private bath/shower - decorated with an eccentric assortment of jungle-related murals, toys, pictures, and linens. The breakfast was well prepared and served by our host with just the right mix of attention, conversation, and time... More

I had stayed here once many years ago and it was ok, kind of unusual, but that was not off-putting. This time, the B&B had definitely gone sledding downhill. The decor, while eccentric, was claustrophobic - every surface covered with some bauble, mirror, piece of junque. There was no room in my room to do anything but sleep. Arriving, there... More

Enid is a delightful elderly British lady but her B & B is a mess. Although there may be some who enjoy the "fanciful" nature of her home, we found it to be horribly dirty and cluttered with dirty old stuffed animals and "fairy creatures" everywhere - hanging from the ceiling, peering out from crevices, and even on the bathroom... Great walking distance to shops, the Beach, playground, Kew Gardens, Eating, Bakeries and a pretty fun trolley ride down Queen Street. Super fast to downtown Toronto via the Gardner Expressway - 10 minutes tops. But with a one and a half year old there was plenty to do without going far. No other B and B's were this close. As...
