Booked directly from Marriott online and got a superb deal: 99$CAN and if payed with Visa, you get a 25$ Visa Card. Check in was very friendly and attentive. Got upgraded to a King bed/balcony room. The room was a bit strange, with a long corridor leading to the bedroom, however, that implies you will not hear noise from the... more
Not a five star, but for the $$ can't be beat--solid service, central location, nice lounge. No long waits at reception even during peak hours, decent concierge service, fast elevators, good valet parking for frequent in/out. Order w/AAA rates on-line and get free breakfast buffet at Yonge Street Grill. Free high speed internet service was nice also--can't for the life... more
Decent hotel, well located at a fair price. Only real complaint were the elevators- a bit slow for a hotel of that size. Free wired and wireless internet - less common than it should be in major hotels.. Given its location it is fairly quiet. Service was fine, very helpful front desk staff- apart from no 5 am wake-up call... more
Stayed here for a 2 night stay for a mother and teenage daughter getaway. There was 5 of us altogether staying in adjoining rooms. Upon arrival I insisted we check the rooms for any evidence of bedbugs, fortunately there were NONE to be found!! The rooms were clean, the only thing noticeable in need of repair was some peeling wallpaper.... more
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown and it was everything it said it would be (which is rare in a hotel!) Recently renovated in the past two years, the decor is very colorful and classy. Our room was booked with two beds which was awful (especially as it was our anniversary), but the front desk staff... more
Great hotel, huge rooms, good customer service, excellent rates (we paid $109/night which is a bargain for a downtown hotel). My only complaint is the rudeness of our fellow guests - screaming drunks running up and down the halls all night. This is not a frat-house, people! more
Great hotel & Great location. This hotel is in the heart of downtown close to all the action. It is about a 25 minute drive from the airport but close to everything; shopping, restaurants, bars & clubs, subway station & etc... Free internet - No complaints at all. more
Although this property is in a central and accessible location, overall, I'm not that impressed. First, the bathroom set-up is terrible. It's a small, crowded room without a sink it in. I never understood why hotels sometimes place sinks outside of the bathroom. Second, they have the coffee maker on an elevated shelf, probably ten inches above the sink counter.... more
Hotel is a few blocks from Eaton Centre on Yonge Street. Loads of restaurants, cafe's in the area (but none -except for pizza place - open after 10p.m.!!!) Try Brownhouse on Yonge Street, excellent food, good price - half price martini's on Thursday!!!! We requested two queen bed room and we got a huge room on the 12th floor....two good... more
