Stayed here while attending a conference. Room was a bit cramped but nice. Beds were cushy. Took full advantage of the hot tub, dry sauna and fitness centre. The one thorn in our side was the hidden $8/day service fee that I only found out about when flipping through the info book in the room, despite having asked over the... more

I had the misfortune of spending two nights at the Metropolitan Hotel on Dundas. I don't care how convenient the location might be, don't make the same mistake too many others have made. Stay away from this joke of a hotel. The room I had was a double. I inquired about a change of room and was advised, "I won't... more

The service at the desk was the only good thing about the hotel. Scott was more than helpful when we asked to change rooms due to the hair all over the bathroom floor and dirty carpet. Upgrade to a 2 bathroom suite, which was nice upon first glance, however one toilet would not flush proper and the jacuzzi was broken.... more

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in, no where near worth the price, staff is un-friendly and rude, lets just say this hotel ruined my birthday weekend away, I am so unimpressed. Toronto has so many nicer hotels with lower prices! more

The Metropolitan Hotel in Toronto located on Dundas Street just north of City Hall is one of those twin tower developments with the other tower being a condo. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but usually, unless it’s a high end hotel, the hotel portion will usually be somewhat of a secondary affair. We chose the Metropolitan for it’s... more

The best thing about the hotel was its location - right in the heart of Downtown Toronto. All the major attractions such as CN Towers, Shopping and eating places were within walking distance. Eventhogh it was in the main downtown - it was not in a crowded street. The rooms were above average and facilities were also okay. The best... more

This hotel became a joke. The credit card keys continually did not work (took 4 tries at midnight on check-in to get a set that worked). The room was dirty and the carpet stained. Room was hot and stuffy - when I left the window open it was closed when I returned. The shower didn't work. The "closet" door refused... more

Yes Phooey. With no exception this is the worst hotel I have stayed at in central Toronto. I was shocked at the lack of quality in this hotel. There was, to give a few examples, a piece of duct tape holding the carpet in place near the threshhold to the bathroom (abour 14 inches long), the towels were falling apart,... more

This is the worst hotel in toronto. When we arrived at the hotel our room smelled of smoke and cheap perfume. When we complained we were told that that was the smell of the cleaning products used to clean our room. When we were finally moved to another room you could see stains of where there was blood on the... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Metropolitan very much. We were there for 4 nights, and found the price and value excellant. Great water pressure, extremely comfortable bed, clean room, extra large and thick towels. The concierage was helpful and the advance notice "town car" service a bonus. They do have a smoking floor, if you are a nonsmoker and... more
