We spent one night in Toronto and took a chance on Hotel Ocho. It was a great location to walk to Chinatown and CN Tower. We were upgraded to a king room and enjoyed the corner location with all of the windows. There was no door to the bathroom but it was around a corner. There was a blind that... More

I have stayed in the Hotel Ocho about 3 times. I have stayed there from the beginning and I am happy to report the service did not experience growing pains but has remained consistently above average. I have never had any issues. The staff are courteous, accommodating and attentive. They were prompt with my request for champagne bucket and flutes.... More

Why thank you, I am pleased to hear such good things about our staff! Yes we abandon our post after hours (Either midnight or 2am) but there's always a night manager on hand. They have a cell phone on them at all times in case there's an inquiry, problem, or a late night check-in. More

I've been there attending an event in the Sheratton. This hotel Ocho is a very small, nice, comfortable, and friendly one. The rooms are very nice, clean and (at the 3d floor) not noisy at all. My room had everything: hairdrayer, a pseudo-wardrobe, an impressive shower, a desktop... The restaurant below was also nice and, more important, had a very... More

... Once again this hotel was a great stayed. Checking was a bit of hassle as I have arrived at 10 am to check in... I stayed in room 36 which is a corner room and I have to say that it was cool to have two windows. Lots of light and somewhat romantic to see the three outside the... More

Stayed there for a Saturday night on a trip to Toronto for a Jays game. The check in desk is a little hard to find (located under the stairs). Upon arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a deluxe King room, AWESOME! (We had originally booked a standard room). The room itself was amazing, very modern and clean.... More

Over the weekend, we celebrated OUR WEDDING at Hotel Ocho in Toronto. Based on the response from our 65 guests, they had a memorable time thanks in large part to the venue, the staff and the food at Hotel Ocho. Firstly, the management (Erica & Jamal) were readily accessible and paid attention to the little details, we planned for throughout... More

I went to Toronto on business and wanted a hotel at the west end of downtown. This one seemed to keep popping up on the web, and the reviews looked good, so, although Spadina Road isn't known for nice hotels, I gave Hotel Ocho a shot. I was greeted by Julie who was kind and personable. I was checked in... More

Thank you for your stellar review! I love it when guests appreciate our personal approach to accomodations. Our unique hotel can make it seem almost adventerous for first timers who are used to big name/chains as you mentioned. And yes a part of this 'adventure' is a doorless bathroom in our superior rooms. Next time you come by book/request a... More

Another very comfortable stay at Hotel Ocho. We love ease of check-in, the informality of the place and especially like room 26 with its view of the schoolyard and city skyline. Great bathrooms with a wonderful shower. Love the quality Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries, too. Thanks to clever Jamal, my (so-called) Smartphone was restored to full power after he worked... More

Wow I'm flattered, being called clever is great, but knowing I wield powers of magic is even better! Thanks for the review, sorry about your feet and shins. I will look into some possible solutions. Reflective tape does sound practical. More

This unique boutique city hideaway may be a bit tricky for cab drivers to find, but its worth searching out as its definitely a slice of urban chic that you will want to enjoy. The building has a warehouse conversion feel - think exposed brickwork, dark leather seating, low-lighting and sultry sexiness. There is no real check-in area - you... More

Ocho is a fun hotel with noise problems in a great location with minimalist rooms (so minimalist that they don't have any real storage, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase and do without a night table). The staff are friendly and the overall vibe is hip. But with the hipness comes a price: The noise from the... More

Your review is spot on, some parts we're proud of and others I wish we could have alleviated, especially regarding the noise level. It can be tough to judge the correct volume level sometimes and the last thing we want is to project the idea that we have nightclub nights. A call to the reception desk would have brought you...
