I stayed here two nights in summer 2008. It is an excellent location - right downtown. The grounds are well manicured and fairly quiet. I felt reasonably safe at night.
My room was spacious and clean. The air conditioner worked.
The accommodations were okay for the price ($50 per night) and location, but I have stayed in better uni residences at the University of Toronto and elsewhere. The bed was lumpy and slanted to the side. I was travelling for business and needed good lighting for desk work, but the lighting in the room was dim. More problematic was the noise. Students had guests late at night, and the constant chatter in the hallway and slamming of doors kept me awake until 3 AM.
The showers and toilets were about a 1 minute walk from the room (on opposite side of floor). The toilets were clean but the toilet paper was very cheap. I've had better showers - these ones had hair all over them and junk in them - but at least they were private.
