I had booked over the phone after looking for rates online. When I called, I was quoted a more expensive price but when I mentioned the online price, they gave it to me. I aslo reserved a parking spot for 15$. We had reserved a room with 2 beds as we had our 5 year old daughter with us. We... more

We stayed here three nights during our summer holiday last year. The hotel staff is friendly, the location and surroundings felt safe and subway is nearby. We could park our car across the street in an open, but gated parking lot (for a fee). Our (2-star, so no frills or extras) rooms were fairly quiet. There was not much street... more

I stayed at the Isabella for a mixed business/leisure trip. I was worried after reading the reviews, but I booked under the "winter special" pricing. The location is a bit scrappy, but coming back to the hotel later at night was not a problem - it does feel a bit unsafe for a single woman traveller like myself, but the... more

Where do I start!? 1) We booked our reservation a month beforehand by contacting the property directly. We liked the price, location and look of the place. Well, those three things stayed the same but when we arrived we were told that they had overbooked. So our reservation was gone, as well as our reserved parking spot. They apologized profusely... more

I was really nervous about booking this hotel because I never heard of it, and after reading the most recent reviews, I was very skeptical! The rooms were small, but they were clean and comfortable. I was there for the film festival, so I only was in my room to sleep, not hang out. The breakfast in the morning was... more

I will never ever stay there again! The rooms are SO TINY. When I had to use the toliet I was touching both walls. It is expensive for such a crap hotel. We should have paid $25. Its only eye catching from outside inside the rooms are so unexplainibly discusting. The neighbourhood is just as bad. I felt very scared... more

This hotel was "okay," given the discounted rate I got through Expedia. But, had I booked directly and paid their full daily rate I would have been disappointed. Rooms in this hotel are very small and very basic. The "suites" are about the size of standard room in "better" hotels. They won't guarantee a non-smoking room if you don't book... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here on New Year's Eve 2008. First of all, there is really no reliable parking at the hotel. The closest parking is on the street, which the hotel workers didn't recommend because f Toronto's notorious fetish for towing cars. We had a park underground in a ramp in a not at all well lit/nice looking... more

Isabella Hotel and Suites is located on the corner of Sherbourne and Isabella Streets in Downtown Toronto. Driving down Sherbourne from the main expressway certainly had us concerned as it is a very rough neighborhood with lots of graffiti and homeless people. The neighborhood seems to improve as you get to the Isabella. We chose a room with a queen... more

We stayed at Isabella during our recent visit to Toronto. The hotel is clean, convenient and affordable. However, the staff wasn't very helpful nor did it seem like they knew what they were doing. When we arrived, they lost our room and parking reservation because their system crashed. Luckily they had a room available for us - but we didn't... more
