My wife and I looked for a B&B getaway for Valentines day (2008) and chose Waldon House after looking over many internet listings. Sheila O'neill is a host par excellence and serves a sumptous breakfast... she says cooking is her hobby and I can believe that.. it was delicious. The room (Linden) was spotless and well appointed with our favorite classical music station playing quietly when we arrived. Refreshingly there was NO TV in the room to intrude on the evening, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sheila had (at our request) reserved our evening meal at PearTree, a nearby bistro restaurant where she gushed over the food. She was "on the money" with that recommendation and their Valentine menu was a real treat with a selection of deserts to die for.
We arrived back at Waldon House to find the bed turned down and a chocolate treat on each pillow... a nice touch indeed.
