My husband and I recently booked ourselves in the Swan's End guesthouse for a little weekend getaway from the city. We've been to the Toronto Islands several times before but only for days trips. I've always loved the fact that it felt like you were miles away from the buzz of city, after only a short ferry ride, so the idea of spending a couple of days there was very exciting for me. We had high expectations from the pictures and the description on the Toronto Island Community's website. We were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like their most special guests. The house is lovely, specifically built 5 years ago with the idea of a bed and breakfast in mind. There's a lovely living area, patio on which to sip wine and listen to the rain (it did rain a lot while we were there), and dining/kitchen combination where a delicious homemade breakfast was served each morning at a time convenient for us.
