Stayed 2 nights while touring the Maritimes. Our room in the main building was great. Recently renovated, large king bed, quiet wing in the main building. As the elevator was far away from our room, we travelled in areas where the hall carpet was stained and/or wet. Some sections of the hotel did appear older. We did not visit the... more

We took a group of 2 Ringette teams to the Canadian Ringette Championships and stayed for 10 days in the hotel. We had a total of 45 rooms booked. Everything was ready when we arrived complete with welcome signs and a hot chocolate and cookie station. The staff are incredible, customer service is definately important to this hotel. The rooms... more

I would like to thank the guest for taking the time to share their experience at our hotel with fellow travellers. I am extremely pleased that our recent major renovations contributed to their overall pleasant experience. It is particularly rewarding to read the comments on our associates and I will ensure that they receive appropriate acknowledgement. Thank you, Walter van...

I usually stay at the Delta, but it was booked solid so I went to the Best Western and stayed in the new buildings across the street from the main hotel. The first room they gave me smelled horribly musty. Shortly thereafter, I realized that the air conditioner was dripping onto the floor. The carpet was soaked ... not just... more

I would like to thank this guest for his feedback on the property. I am very pleased to announce that we have finished the first phase of a multi million dollar renovation project. Our first priority was the main building where the guest rooms have received new bathroom interiors with granite counter top vanities and curved shower rods. The rooms...

Rooms in the Main Building are awful. Room smelled bad, air conditioner didn't work, wall paper dirty and torn, carpet stained, furniture in a bad state. Had to pay $200 CAD (taxes included) for a room too bad even for a 2-star hotel. Outrageous! Will never come back. Look at all the bad reviews this hotel has had in the... more

As of November 20th, the Best Western Charlottetown has just completed the first stage of it's renovation and now offers guests a fresh new look in our main building guestrooms. The renovated rooms received fresh wallpaper, new carpeting, maple wood furniture as well as luxurious new bedding, granite countertops and artwork. New additions to some of the renovated rooms are...

I stayed at the Best Western in June 2008 for two weeks. I was there for a business event and my stay was not enjoyable. The staff were friendly enough and I was impressed with the restaurant in the hotel The food was decent and reasonably priced. The rooms are dated, unclean and uncomfortable. The internet connection and phones are... more

Disgustingly fithly !!! Once you get past a decent looking front entrance the hallways, rooms , pool and exercise room leave one wondering how could we have paid this kind of money to stay here? From the hallways that looked like there had been a murder there previously, to mold growing in the walls of the room. We have traveled... more

I agree with all of the negative comments about this hotel. It is horrible. The room is clearly showing its age. The entire hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The floor was sticky, the bathroom door wouldn't close properly, and the advertised in room internet did not work.. On top of that, both phones had no dial tone, so... more

We were attending a conference at the Delta Hotel. Rooms there disappeared and the Delta shockingly used this Best Western as an overflow. Our rooms were on the first level which was a nice way of saying in the basement. It was filthy. Musty. Our room had one small window that looked out (at eye level) into a garbage bin.... more

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever seen in North America. I find it hard to believe that the Cest Western lets this place sully their name. We have often stayed in Best Westerns due to their consistency and value for the money. We checked into two rooms that a smell akin to dead animals and we told it was... more

Hi, over the years, I have stayed at several different Best Western Hotels, and have always been happy with the service and overall experience. I am writing to tell you that I am very unhappy with my experience at Best Western Charlottetown. 1. My safety was severely compromised. The door to the stairs(Fire Escape) was locked/jambed for 2 days and... more
