We stayed a couple of nights here - the innkeeper Shelly was charming - her brother Reg was the breakfast cook - he also markets his own line of hot sauce called "Holy Crap that's hot"! Great hospitality, free internet and unlimited printing and they even did our laundry FREE! they gave us spot-on restaurant recommendations including the best mussels... more
Shelley has put her heart and soul into decorating this B & B and was a great hostess. Breakfasts were prepared based on our schedule and were so delicious. It was a nice ~ 10 minute walk to the Delta where our conference was held. Staff enjoyed chatting and answered all the questions that we had. Oh yes... within walking... more
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colonial Charm Inn! We requested a quiet room and informed the innkeepers that we're vegetarians. They did everything possible to honor our requests. The owners really go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant and meaningful as possible. We really appreciated the time they spent with us. We know that... more
Colonial Charm Inn truly lives up to its name. The room was nice and comfortable. The owner was friendly and extremely helpful. If I were to go back to PEI, I would definitely try to go back to Colonial Charm just for the breakfast. They have the most delicious pancakes. more
My husband and I stayed at Colonial Charm Inn for 2 nights in Sept. 2008. We enjoyed the hospitality (Shelley is a superb host), excellent restaurant recommendations, as well as things to do in Charlottetown. Nicholas, an up-and-coming chef, also prepared excellent breakfasts and greeted us upon our arrival. We stayed in the Cozy Queen room, which is at the... more
The name of this compact but bijou hotel is very apt. Shelley was incredibly hospitable and anxious to make our stay one to remember. When we said we were on the Anne of Green Gables trail she asked us if we wanted to borrow the DVD box set to re-watch our favourite. She also pointed us in the right direction... more
I was in Charlottetown on August 2006, on our tour of the Atlantic Provinces. I stayed one night at hte Colonial Charm Inn. The Colonial Charm Inn is well located, really walking distance from city center. Our room was very nice, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a great attention to details. Our room had a balcony that looked out onto... more
To celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary, my husband and I flew to PEI, where we stayed in Charlottetown for a week at the Colonial Charm Inn. The hosts, Shelly and Martin (a future top chef!), were extremely gracious and provided us and the other guests with everything we could want, from fresh, sumptuous breakfasts and baked goods everyday, to recommendations... more
No journey through Canada’s Atlantic Provinces is complete without visiting Prince Edward Island. And no visit to P.E.I. makes any sense without staying for at least one night in beautiful Charlottetown. But where do you stay best? Well, we only know one place, but we can hardly imagine that any other would suit us any better. The Colonial Charm Inn... more
